Personal Statement:
Teaching for me has always been a natural way to build connections with and foster growth in others. Throughout my academic and professional careers, I have seen firsthand the impact I have on my community. The satisfaction I find as an educator motivates me to integrate teaching with my intended career in medicine, so that I may have a role in building a better healthcare system in the U.S. and abroad as a mentor to physicians in training.
