Personal Statement:
Good teachers and mentors have played an essential role in my training as a scientist. As a developing teacher and mentor, I greatly value the opportunities I have had to support students in pursuing their goals both in the classroom and in the lab. Much like conducting scientific research, teaching is a challenging, iterative, and highly rewarding process, and I hope to keep improving and learning through the POISE program.
